LEDtronics Moves to a New Building
29-JAN-99

TORRANCE, CA - January 29, 1999 - LEDtronics® has long been recognized as a leader in the development, design and manufacturer of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Now it has a facility worthy of its accomplishments.

Located at 23105 Kashiwa Court in Torrance, CA, their new location is just a few blocks from their previous facility, but it couldn’t be more different. At 63,000 square feet, there is more than three times the manufacturing space, featuring a host of improvements. This additional space is necessary to keep up with the growing demand for LED lighting.

"In the past, the use of LEDs was fairly limited," stated Pervaiz Lodhie, President of LEDtronics. "Advances made in LED technology in the past few years have dramatically broadened the applications for these rugged little light sources. There are literally millions of uses for LEDs and LEDtronics expanded to keep up with this need."

More and more, LEDs are replacing standard incandescent lighting. LEDs use a fraction of the power required by conventional filament bulbs, and their solid-state design allows them to withstand shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes without compromising their famously long life — typically 100,000 hours or more.

LEDtronics® has dedicated itself to supplying the industry with LED lamps that will meet the demanding needs of firms who want to lower power usage, increase lamp life, reduce maintenance costs and have the services of an innovative lamp designer available to them.

LEDtronics® has evidenced their ability to meet those needs by becoming the preferred LED lamp supplier to such firms as Eastman Kodak, Square D Company, Eaton Corporation and IBM.

LEDtronics® LEDs support a wide variety of applications from automotive, avionics, industrial controls, pilot lights, security sensors and décor/interior design lighting just to name a few. LEDtronics® has the world’s largest selection of based LED replacements for incandescent applications as well as an astounding array of LEDs for PCBs, panels and discrete applications. If they don’t have the LED a customer wants, they will design and manufacture them to the customer’s specifications. They utilize the newest in technology, including the new Indium Gallium and Gallium Nitride chip technology.

LEDtronics® was founded in 1983 by Pervaiz Lodhie as a small two-person manufacturing organization. The company is certified as a Minority Owned Small Business and has grown into one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative LED lamps, clusters and arrays with sales approaching $20 million. The company now employs 130 people and has sales representatives and distributors worldwide.
