LEDtronics® announces its new 5mm Domed Fluorescent pink Discrete LED (Light Emitting Diode) that maximizes the creative options available to engineers and designers alike. (LEDtronics part number L200-TPP-180D.) This Fluorescent orange-ish /pink dome InGaN
5mm diode with optical grade epoxy produce 80mcd illumination with 180 degree viewing angle at 20mA that is visible even in direct sunlight. The 5mm Pink LED features a 180° viewing angle and sturdy leads for reliability in wire-wrap/through-hole PCB applications.

Solid-state design renders LEDs imperious to electrical and mechanical
shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years), 5mm Pink LEDs operate reliably year after year and appropriate for many applications. They can be used as individual pixels in a large dot matrix screen, full color screens, moving signs and displays. More diverse applications for 5mm Pink LEDs include light color synthesis. Other applications include medical imaging and biomedical instrumentation, Car Dash lights, tele-/data-communication equipment, cellular telephones, PDAs, machine vision systems, and color recognition and calibration systems – any application that requires a bright reliable LED.
