PAR20 LED High-Power Spotlights Provide Energy Savings
28-APR-09

TORRANCE, CA – April 9, 2009 – LEDtronics® announces its latest generation of PAR20-style LED spotlight bulbs with a maximum power draw of less than 6 watts. These direct screw-in, incandescent-replacement bulbs combine advanced Light Emitting Diode (LED) technologies, standard 26mm Edison screw bases and light-optimizing designs to produce vivid, narrow-beam light.

The PAR20-6W LED bulbs are available in two light-emitting angles—20° and 40°—and run on a voltage range of 100V to 260V AC current, and thus can be used almost anywhere in the world. The PAR20 LED bulbs measure 3.2 inches long and have a 2.42-inch diameter, making them ideal for small spotlighting tasks, artwork accenting, cabinet and signage lighting, as well as industrial, medical and security illumination.

With a maximum energy consumption of 6 watts, savings of up to 85% quickly add up over the standard PAR20 incandescent bulbs they replace. The standard PAR20 LED colors available are in the Warm White (3000 Kelvin) and Pure White (6000 Kelvin) range.

These PAR20 LED bulbs put out between 190 to 275 lumens, depending on the LED light color and beam angle. The LEDtronics high-power PAR20 LED bulbs are designed to perform well in systems subjected to voltage dips or surges — integrated current-limited resistors ensure that no circuit modifications are required. Intensity and color remain stable over the lamp's lifetime.

Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. With an average lifespan of up to 50,000-plus hours (5.7+ years), high-power white LED bulbs operate reliably year after year. The PAR20-6W bulbs carry a three-year limited warranty.
