LED Spotlights Usurp Incandescents
 Designed
to replace incandescent lamps, 25-mm
Edison screw-base spotlights are available in 30-
and 40-LED configurations. The InGaAlP and SiC/GaN devices come in 525-
and 570-nm green, 470- and 505-nm blue, 585-nm yellow, 660- and 635-nm
red, 605-nm orange, 850-, 880-, and 940-nm IR, as well as 4,500- and
8,000-K white.
The lights have a viewing angle of 12° to 15°, with optional angles
of 20° to 30°, 50° to 60°, and 120°
available. The devices are available in versions that accept a drive voltage
from 12 to 240 Vac at 1.2 to 2.7 W. (From $36.65--stock to 6 weeks ARO.)
