Rectangular RopeLED Approaches Accent Lighting From
A New Angle

RopeLED (Series RPLD02LED Light Emitting Diode) accent lighting measures
10.5mm high by 18mm wide. Its rectangular profile enables it to fit snugly
against surfaces that feature right angles. Rectangular RopeLED features
72 LEDs per meter that are spaced 13.9mm apart. RopeLED tubes are marked
at intervals where they can be cut to custom lengths or spliced together
into different coloured RopeLED segments. They are available in red,
blue, green, yellow and white LED colours. RopeLED comes standard in
120V; 12V DC and 240V options are available. RopeLED is easy to install.
Simply connect the RopeLED to the appropriate end of a power cord cable
(purchased separately) then plug the power cord into a standard electrical
outlet. RopeLED can be held in place with small plastic clips that snap
onto the tube, and then nailed, screwed or glued to an adjacent surface.
RopeLED's weather-resistant PVC construction makes it suitable for both
outdoor and indoor uses. RopeLED can be employed indoors for emergency
pathway lighting, to accent staircases, closets, cabinets, ceilings,
etc. . . . Outdoor uses include lighting decks, pathways, theme parks,
trees, building edge decor, lighting and driveways. Coloured PVC tubes
are not needed since LEDs emit coloured light. The colour is determined
by the composition of the semiconductor material comprising the diode.
Intensity and colour remain stable over a lamp’s lifetime. LED
technology is an energy-efficient light source, saving 80% - 90% of energy
costs as compared with equivalent incandescent lighting. RopeLED does
not get hot so there is no risk of getting burned when you touch it.
Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical
shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. With
an average life span of 100,000-plus hours (11 years) for LEDs, RopeLEDs
operate reliably year after year and provide architects, retail store
display creators, entertainment designers and other lighting professionals
with a practical way to integrate ornamental illumination into maintenance-intensive
applications such as casinos, theme and amusement parks, stage lighting,
carnivals, and theatres.
