Tail/Brake Light Lamps
 The
1157 and 1156 tail/brake light lamps incorporate advanced optical-grade
epoxy to produce illumination that is bright and evenly dispersed. The
lamps are plug-compatible with the 12 Vdc systems of most major automotive
manufacturers.
Due to their solid construction, the lamps are suitable for applications
that are subjected to high vibration, shock, and environmental stress
With instantaneous turn-on and turn-off without transients, the lamps
are designed to provide light 2/10 of a second faster than incandescent
lamps to provide an extra 15 feet of stopping distance at 60 mph. In
addition, they can last up to 100,000 hours and produce little to no
heat as well as low power draw.
The lamps can be supplied for all common indicator supply voltages from
5 to 120 Vdc/Vac. They feature built-in current-limiting resistors and
polarity-protection diodes to ensure that circuit modifications are not
required.
