Designers
PAR20
LED Short-Neck light bulbs.
These direct incandescent replacement bulbs combine advanced Light Emitting
Diode (LED) technologies, standard 25mm Edison screw bases and light-optimizing
designs to produce vivid light.
PAR20 LED bulbs are available in three light emitting
angles (15°,
20°, and 22°) and in 120 volts AC. Other voltages like 12V to
240V AC or DC are available for qualified customers.
PAR20 Short-Neck LED bulbs measure 3.50 inches long and have a 2.53
inch diameter making them ideal for small spotlighting tasks, artwork
accenting, and recessed lighting for ambient illumination. With a power
draw of only 2.5 Watts the savings quickly add up over the standard PAR20
incandescent bulbs they replace.
The standard PAR20 LED colors available are Warm White and XWarm White
(3000 Kelvin), Cool White (7000 Kelvin), Super Red (633nm) and Aqua Green
(525nm). Other LED colors as well as Infrared lamps are offered for qualified

With up to eleven years of LED operating life and five sunlight-visible
LED light colors from which to select, solid-state PAR20 LED bulbs are
a practical and economical way for architects, retail store display creators,
entertainment designers and other lighting professionals to integrate
ornamental illumination into maintenance-intensive applications. Additionally,
LED cluster lamps continue to provide light even if one or more emitters
fail-unlike when the filament breaks inside incandescent bulbs. LEDtronics'
PAR20 LED bulbs are designed to perform well in systems subjected to
voltage dips or surges. Integrated current-limited resistors ensure that
no circuit modifications are required.
Colored lenses or filters are not needed since LEDs emit colored light
that is determined by the composition of the semiconductor material comprising
the diode. Intensity and color remain stable over the lamp's lifetime.
LED technology is an energy-efficient directional light source; saving
80% - 90% of energy costs compared to a 30- or 50-Watt incandescent PAR20
lamps. Because LEDs use very little energy, produce little-to-no heat,
and are virtually maintenance free the cost savings are substantial.
Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical
shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. With
an average lifespan of up to 100,000-plus hours (11 years)-up to 50,000
hours for white LEDs-LED bulbs operate reliably year after year. PAR20

Buckingham Palace
Bespoke
Lighting, who recently merged with LEDtronics, Inc., a Los Angeles, CA,
based LED lighting company, combined their skills in developing a unique
method of illuminating chandeliers using light emitting diodes (LEDs).
The project was undertaken at the request of The
Royal Household, in an effort to reduce energy consumption and maintenance
costs. The center
room chandelier was nominated and all 32 twenty-five-watt tungsten
lamps were removed, and a low voltage system controlling 2.8 watt light
emitting
diode lamps (STL610-48-XIW-024M) was installed, initiating an energy
saving in excess of 80%.
The next re-lamping will not be needed to be scheduled
until 2020.
The next chandelier to be converted will be fitted
with a warmer version of LED lamps, perfectly recreating the color
temperature of tungsten lamps.
“The
aesthetics of the respective rooms is a major consideration and consequently
we needed an option on the color of the lamps. Bespoke lighting and
LEDtronics have succeeded in providing the perfect solution for The
Royal Household,
and their energy saving strategy has been greatly enhanced,” said
Pervaiz Lodhie, president and founder of LEDtronics and co-owner of
Bespoke Lighting International.
“We are now perfecting an LED candle
lamp for The Palace that will again assist them in their commitment
to saving
energy.”
LEDtronics
also recently worked jointly with Bespoke in illuminating the Grand Staircase
in Buckingham Palace. They installed around 32,000
LED’s
which included a combination of warm white combined with red, green and
blue LED’s giving a range of several thousand color temperatures.
The system is controlled remotely by radio transmitter.

LEDtronics Drop-in Replacement LED Bulbs for MR16
November,
2007 — LEDtronics introduces an addition to its line of drop-in replacement
MR16-styled LED bulbs: High-powered 3Watt LED MR16 bulbs.
These new 3Watt MR16 LED bulbs have two big advantages over other MR16
LED bulbs.
First, they are engineered to handle the variations
in voltages that may accompany “noisy” or “dirty” AC or DC power supplies,
eliminating potential burnout from incoming voltage that is higher than
the lamp’s capacity. Second, the new 3Watt MR16 bulbs eliminate the
need to stock a variety of LED MR16 bulbs to coordinate with different voltages
that power supplies of 12Volt AC/DC – 24Volt DC may present, simplifying
procurement and inventory procedures.
High-powered 3Watt LED MR16 bulbs (Series Number MR16-3W)
have the following characteristics; bi-pin bases just like standard
incandescent MR16 bulbs,
and light outputs of 102.9 lumens using only 2.6Watts with 12Volts DC,
120.6lumens using only 3.7Watts with 12Volts AC, and 140.7 lumens using
only 3.8Watts
with 24Volts DC. The bulb features three High-Power LEDs and is offered
in Cool White (6500 Kelvin) and Warm White (3000 Kelvin) color temperatures.
Both Warm and Cool Whites are offered in 61° beam angles (2 ½).
With factory approval, MR16-3W bulbs may be ordered in other LED colors,
voltages and beam angles.
MR16-3W bulbs carry a three-year limited warranty.
Unlike halogen MR16 lamps that create potentially damaging heat and have
caused fires when accidentally in contact with other objects, LED-sourced
MR16-3W bulbs generate less heat while operating and pose no threat to the
objects they are illuminating or their surroundings.
Lighting professionals, architects, industrial designers and maintenance
departments will find these MR16-3W lamps to be excellent solutions for
their maintenance-free and low-voltage applications. MR16-3W lamps are commonly
used for accent, task, and display lighting, track lighting in museums,
jewelry stores, and hotels. They are excellent for both residential lighting
situations and entertainment venues like theaters, restaurants, and theme
parks.
With an average White LED lifespan of up to 50,000-hours (five years),
LEDs operate reliably year after year. Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious
to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental
fluctuation. Integrated current-limited resistors prevent short-circuiting.
LED lamps use only 10%-20% of the energy consumed by equivalent incandescent
lamps. When combined with their maintenance-free operation this results
in substantial cost savings.
