5-ft T8 LED Lamps Handle Cold, Vibration, Humidity
29-SEP-11

LED60T8SM–360–XPW series 5–ft T8 fluorescent–replacement LED tube lights are designed for applications where cold, vibration, and humidity can be an issue. The bi–pin LED tube lights fit into standard G13 bases and have a smaller tube diameter (1.10 in.) to accommodate the space inside food coolers, freezers, and display cases. Additionally, the LED tube lights have a longer life (50,000 hours) in cold applications where fluorescents typically have high failure rates.

Housed in UV–resistant polycarbonate, the lamps come in clear (–001W) and frosted (–001WF) versions, delivering a total lumen output of 1,950 and 1,798 respectively at color temperatures between 4,500K and 5,200K (pure daylight white) and with a CRI of 75. The lamps provide a maximum brightness of 668 (clear) and 527 cd (frosted) across a beam pattern up to 140 wide.

The lamps operate over a wide ambient–temperature range of about -30°C to 50°C and in humidity to 95%. They also operate over a wide 90 to 290–Vac input range, typically consuming 21 W at 120 Vac. They require neither ballast nor transformer nor starter, thus avoiding a common source of RF interference. (With preexisting fixtures, installation requires that power lines be rerouted to bypass such elements and go directly to the G13 sockets.)

The tubes comply with RoHS, thus avoiding the need to be disposed of as hazardous waste at end of life like fluorescents, and emit no IR or UV radiation. Other viewing angles, tube lengths, and light colors are available for OEM customers. ($109 ea / single qty available from stock, 4–6 weeks for OEM designs.)
