Torrance, CA — LEDtronics® announces the first in a new series of low-cost
in-line direct view indicators allowing designers to mount 3mm round LEDS
over RJ45 jacks without the use of optical light pipe modules. These indicators
are ideally suited for modem, telecommunications and network (LAN, WAN)
applications.
Designated as the PCB-1209 Series, these wide viewing, highly visible, conventional
( 3mm/T1 round dome) LEDS are configured one LED per housing. Each housing
can be configured in one of the following bi-color configurations: high
efficiency red ( 635nm) and green (568nm) or high efficiency green (568nm)
and yellow (585nm).
The RJ45 indicators minimize the manufacturing cycle by eliminating common
problems such as alignment, packaging and mountability by incorporating
such features as mounting tabs for easy PCB placement, co-planar alignment
for ease of panel mounting and shielding between adjacent LEDS. It's unique
arrayable design allows you to connect multiple indicators together, while
maintaining tight tolerances.
Enclosed in an Underwriters Lab UL94-V2 flame retardant nylon 66, this
packaging permits high contrast on/off viewing in a secure and uniform housing.
These units are cost effective problem solvers for the designers who must
provide the most efficient and effective indication for RJ45 jacks.
Pricing at the 1,000 piece quantity level for either the PCB-1209(red/green
bi-color) or the PCB-1209( green/yellow bi-color) is $0.72 each.
Availability is off-the-shelf to 45 days ARO (quantity dependent). Samples
