Torrance, CA, Oct. 22, 2025 — LEDtronics®, Inc. announces the addition of a new series to its industry-leading line of miniature-based LED indicator lamps, geared toward harsh environments such as power plants and public utilities, where durability and accurate light reading are vital.
The BS320F-028BZ series is a direct drop-in replacement for similar Ba9s bayonet-base, high-failure incandescent lamps such as 2- or 4-bulb #1819 annunciator backlights, offering improved visibility to annunciator panel legends. They are ideal for use in critical status-indication applications such as in master control rooms in utilities and power plants, among others.
The solid-state design of these new miniature lamps renders them impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. They boast a wider operating temperature range and much longer lumen maintenance than comparable incandescent lamps.
The latest LEDtronics series operates with an input voltage of 28VDC and comes in a selection of five emitted colors: Cool White (4600K), Pure White (4300K), Warm White (3000K), Super Red (630nm), Super Blue (467nm), and Aqua Green (526nm). Depending on the LED light color, power consumption ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 watts, offering luminous intensity from 0.276 to 2.474 candelas, and luminous brightness of 0.43 to 3.95 lumens. The input current also varies, ranging from 0.005 to 0.017 amps, offering a no-glow, full-beam output with a viewing angle width ranging from 50 to 120 degrees.
Other standard LED colors and input voltages are available for qualified volume orders, as well as custom voltages for high-volume OEM requirements.
All units feature a Rynite FR530 sleeve, a Lexan milky-white frosted lens dome, and a T3-¼ (Ba9s) mini-bayonet, single-contact brass base of bipolar DC polarity, with nickel-plated brass barrels.
Unlike incandescents, these lamps generate minimal heat, produce virtually no UV or IR radiation, and do not emit RF interference. They boast faster turn-on and reaction time compared to filament lamps, yet provide higher luminous intensity and pure, even wavelength light for more uniform illumination and better visibility. These LED lamps operate reliably year after year, withstanding the rigors of industrial environments.
