Torrance, Calif., Feb. 3, 2026 — LEDtronics® answers the call for low-cost, long-lasting, and reliable LED solutions to retrofit panel-mount applications for industrial, medical, and other controls with its new addition to the snap-in and wired front-panel indicator lamp series, a product category it has been manufacturing for 43 years.
The new PTS780-0xx-028B/WP non-relampable, front-mounting series of direct incandescent-replacement LED lights for mounting in holes of Ø0.69 inch (Ø17.46mm) diameter is an excellent choice for machine tool applications, as well as railroad or transportation control panels, industrial control panels, robotics man-machine interfaces, machine tools, medical equipment, patient exam room status lights, HVAC control panels, and signal or pilot lights, among many others.
The series easily replaces incandescent or LED lamps such as Cross to VCC, DDP, Littlefuse, Eldema, or Dialight in panels of up to 0.3 inch (7.62mm) thickness — the recommended mounting hole is 0.709 inch (18.0mm) thick.
Offering energy savings with a much lower power consumption of only 0.6 watts or less, these indicator lamps provide ultra-bright LED light in Aqua Green (525nm wavelength), Super Red (631nm), Amber (593nm), and Super Orange (612nm) colors, with a viewing angle of 25 to 30 degrees, depending on the lens color.
They are rated for 28VDC input voltage and operate on input current ranging from 0.021 to 0.023 amps, providing illumination of 1.31 to 2.55 lumens and a luminous intensity ranging from 9.08 to 17.24 maximum candela.
The PTS780-0xx-028B/WP series comes in a nickel-plated brass sleeve, a nylon PA6 header, stainless steel washers, and a low-profile polycarbonate flat lens with clear color, all weighing only 0.8 ounce (22.7 grams).
These durable LED lamps provide years of reliable performance with a projected lifespan of 30,000 hours, boasting sustained color fidelity, energy efficiency, and almost no heat. They feature an IP66 protection rating — they are totally protected against dust and from strong water jets in outdoor locations — operating in a wide temperature range of -30°C to +80°C (-22°F to 176°F). As well, they are shock- and vibration-resistant.
The new LEDtronics PTS780-0xx-028B/WP series of front panel-mount, non-relampable, and wired indicator LED lamps comes with an unconditional 3-year U.S. factory warranty. They are available through LEDtronics distributors. More options, such as other standard LED colors and input voltages, custom voltages for high-volume OEM requirements, and other housing finishes and terminations, are available for qualified volume orders.
