UL-Listed COB PAR30 LED Bulbs Provide up to 80% Energy Savings over Conventional Halogen Bulbs

By LEDtronics, Inc.

Torrance, Calif., Sept. 17 –LEDtronics® Inc., with more than 30 years of leadership in innovative LED lighting solutions, announces the newest member to its series of high-brightness, energy-efficient LED replacement bulbs. The LED PAR30C series of COB (Chip On Board) bulbs is ideal for indoor use in architectural/décor lighting, commercial applications, facilities, plants, hotels and resorts.

The PAR30C series comes with a clear, precision UV-stabilized polycarbonate lens that directs high-brightness 820 lumens in Warm White, 840 lumens in Natural White, and 790 lumens in Pure White LED color temperature. They have a 60-degree beam of light in a medium flood illumination pattern. The PAR30C bulb operates in a voltage input of 100 to 277VAC, offering long-lasting durability and easy drop-in installation in existing standard 26mm Edison screw-base sockets. This high-power bulb with high-grade COB LED replaces up to 60-watt halogen PAR30 bulbs, while consuming only 11 watts of power, resulting in tremendous energy savings of up to 80%.

These new state-of-the-art COB LED PAR30 bulbs are available in a Warm White 2750K to 3250K, Natural White 4000K to 4100K or Pure White 5000K to 5600K (other temperature colors available for qualified applications). As well, it boasts outstanding color fidelity with a CRI greater than 80 that enhances color nuances. In addition, these lamps maintain 70 percent or greater of LED lumens at 50,000 hours of operation — a lifespan many times longer than the equivalent halogen bulb!

Because LEDs have no filament, their solid-state design renders them impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. These ROHS-compliant UL-listed COB PAR30 LED bulbs contain no harmful mercury or other toxic elements; and unlike incandescent bulbs, LEDs do not emit large amounts of heat, and little to no ultraviolet or infrared light. This makes them perfect for use in museums, hospitals, offices or areas where UV radiation might degrade the surroundings (such as illuminating valuable artwork, wine cellars or food service areas). The fact that they run remarkably cool also means they greatly reduce building air-conditioning load on energy.

These economical, high-quality bulbs are perfect in non-wet outdoor or indoor spot lighting applications such as track lighting, ceiling-can down-light fixtures, security and emergency lights, general/architectural and landscape lighting, display case fixtures and cabinet lighting, sign spot lighting, OEM equipment lighting, bio-medical and medical applications, museums or theatrical-effects lighting.

Since LED lights are much more energy efficient than halogens and other filament-style lamps, these bulbs are perfect operating with an alternative or renewable energy resource such as solar or wind power in cold or warm environments. Also, they reduce light pollution in outdoor installations and, as a result, are compatible with the international “Dark Skies” initiative.

The COB PAR30-style LED bulbs come with a 5-year LEDtronics warranty, and are available through LEDtronics distributors. Retail price is $22.25 each. Quantity discounts are available to qualified distributors. Availability is stock to 4-6 weeks for large-order requirements.

Hi-Flux LED Slim Strip Lights Help Architectural, Accent and Security Lighting Designs Shine

By LEDtronics, Inc.

Torrance, Calif., Sept. 10 – LEDtronics® announces its new series of Hi-Flux LED Slim Strip Lights that come in a sealed enclosure with water-clear lens and are IP68-certified waterproof. With a great-looking strip illumination that provides even lighting without the buzzing and flickering that afflicts fluorescents, the TBL4520 series offers versatility in applications such as passenger interiors in RVs, buses and trains; task lighting, under cabinets, concealed lighting, edge lighting, cubicles, marine recreation areas, as well as coolers, freezers, retail store displays, and many more.

The construction of a clear polycarbonate cover over the LED tube provides increased protection and shielding against many environmental effects, allowing its placement in locations where typical lights would be more vulnerable to the elements. The sturdy aluminum bar offers a secure and easy installation, along with the easy-to-use mounting clips. Furthermore, the TBL4520 series strip lights come in a variety of 6, 12, 24 and 48 inch lengths to fit in many different locations, tight enclosures and spaces. Mounting clips that snap onto the back of the sturdy aluminum bar, and 120VAC-to-12VDC transformers are sold separately.

These clear LED Strip Lights come in three color temperatures: Warm White (2500K to 3000K), True White (5000K to 5500K) and Cool White (8000K to 9000K), all operating at 12VDC. Each LED strip offers a wide viewing angle of 90 degrees.

The 6-inch Warm White uses 1.95 watts per module and puts out 168 lumens, while the True White uses 2.13W and puts out 151 lumens, and the Cool White uses 2.03W and puts out 143 lumens. The 12-inch Warm White uses 3.90 watts per module and puts out 335 lumens, while the True White uses 4.25W and puts out 303 lumens, and the Cool White uses 4.05W and puts out 286 lumens. The 24-inch Warm White uses 7.8 watts per module and puts out 670 lumens, the True White uses 8.5W and puts out 605 lumens, the Cool White uses 8.1W and puts out 572 lumens. The 48-inch Warm White uses 16.2 watts per module and puts out 1340 lumens, the True White uses 17W and puts out 1210 lumens, and the Cool White uses 15.6W and puts out 1143 lumens.

Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to shock, vibration, frequent on/off switching and environmental extremes. With an average life span of over 50,000 hours for white LEDs and a lumen maintenance of over 70 percent, LEDs operate more than 30 times longer than the equivalent incandescent lamp! Savings from reduced maintenance costs and downtime quickly return the capital investment expenditure!

LED Strip lights produce almost no heat, and require 80%-90% less operating power than equivalent incandescent or fluorescent lighting, making them as friendly to the environment as they are to the operating budget.

Pricing for the TBL4520 Series of Hi-Flux LED Slim Strip Lights: 6 inch = $9.15 each, 12 inch = $16.12 each, 24 inch = $25.25 each and the 48 inch = $45.50 each. Illumetric, West Hollywood’s "Art on the Outside" Program, Illuminated with LEDtronics LED T8 Tube Lights on the Inside

By LEDtronics, Inc.

The City of West Hollywood, through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission, presents Illumetric—a triptych of massive diamond, cube and rectangle-shaped sculptures brought to the city by Shana Mabari.

Mabari's latest work is installed on the median of the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard (between La Cienega Boulevard and Orlando Avenue) as part of the City of West Hollywood’s Art on the Outside program (July 2014 through June 2015).

Illumetric's diamond, cube and rectangle-shaped pieces radiate colors of red, blue and yellow. Throughout the day they will change from saturated hues to a transparent and ethereal glow as illumination effect takes place after the sun goes down. The pieces capture and interact with the ephemeral qualities of daylight, and feature internal LED illumination for nighttime display, emphasizing light as an intangible but physical and communal presence at any hour.

Shana Mabari is a Los Angeles-based artist who explores the intersections of art, science and technology in her work. Her installations and environments investigate ways in which we perceive our world through a skilled orchestration of light, reflection, color contrast and geometry. Her installations and environments investigate ways in which worldly stimuli and phenomena are absorbed and processed through sensory and visual perception. She orchestrates light, reflection, color contrast and geometry to play with and expand the reality and experience of physical space. Mabari's work extends the "Light and Space" movement that originated in the 1960s into the 21st century.

To light up the cube and rectangle-shaped sculptures, they used LEDtronics LED T8 tube lights. A total of 48 LED T8 tube lights of lengths from 2 to 4 feet were used in all. The 2-foot LED T8 only uses 9 watts and replaces 16W to 18W fluorescent tube lights. The 3-foot LED tube lights only use 13 watts and replace 25W to 30W fluorescent tube lights. The 4-foot LED T8s only use 18 watts and replace 32W to 36W fluorescent lights. LED T8 tube lights last over 50,000 hours, provide even lighting, no buzzing nor flickering, no harmful UV/IR radiation and no toxic mercury to worry about.
