Energy-Efficient 7-LED S6 Candelabra Lamp Suitable for Many Decorative, Architectural Applications

By LEDtronics, Inc.

Torrance, Calif., June 25, 2012 — LEDtronics®, the industry’s most innovative LED lamp manufacturer for almost 30 years, announces the SLF467-UL Series of S6 candelabra-based seven-LED, ETL-registered light bulbs that are ideal for decorative and architectural applications such as low-wattage nightlights and aisle seat lighting. The LEDtronics SLF467-SIW-120A-UL operates on 120VAC input voltage, providing 4 candelas of bright light typically with only 1 watt of energy — up to 90% reduction in power consumption over incandescent bulbs.

The E12 screw-based clear miniature lamp series is available in 3000K warm white color and offers a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees. The solid-state design of the direct incandescent replacement SLF467-UL Series LED lamps renders them impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching and environmental extremes. They boast faster turn-on and reaction time compared to halogen lamps yet provide comparable luminous intensity and pure wavelength light for a more uniform illumination without halation. In typical applications they provide sharper, higher intensity illumination and better visibility than standard lamps and achieve full brightness more rapidly. Having already shown their brightness, cool operation and energy efficiency in such applications as stage lighting for a major Broadway touring production, light display on a prominent Long Beach, Calif., hotel building, and aisle lighting for an Orlando, Florida, arena, the LEDtronics seven-LED S6 candelabra-based lamps are also ideal for industrial control panels, lighted switch gear found in water treatment plants, nuclear, coal or gas-generated power plants, aircraft instrumentation, elevator panels, automobile dash lighting, audio and intercom panels, broadcast equipment and medical instrumentation, as well as lighting stadium seating, theatre stair pathways and aisles, accent night lighting and artwork illumination in galleries, to name a few. The lamp is rated at 50,000 hours MTBF for white LED light, compared to typical life spans of 1,500 for incandescent bulbs. Their long life and reliability in a wide range of operating temperatures lower costs by reducing re-lamp frequency, while their cool operation translates into less load on air conditioning. Priced at $26.60 each in the 25-piece quantity, the SLF467-SIW-120A-UL LED lamp comes with a 3-year warranty and is available in production quantities in 3 to 5 days, with samples and/or prototype quantities available to qualified customers in 1 week.

Kingman Regional Medical Center Goes Green with Energy Saving LED Light Fixtures from LEDtronics

By LEDtronics, Inc.

Nestled in the foothills of the Hualapai Mountain range, the award-winning Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is a community-owned 235-bed healthcare facility located in Kingman, Arizona—the seat of the Mohave County. It is the largest provider of health and wellness services in northwestern Arizona and has been often recognized as one of the nation's top 100 hospitals in the State of the Nation's Hospitals report. At 3,500 feet in elevation, the hospital sits in a beautiful high-desert rural community.

The medical center was using 250-watt HPS lamps in 88 fixtures throughout the campus, running on voltage ranges from 120VAC to 277VAC. The poles are mostly around 16-20 feet high, with some in the 24'-26' range; they are spaced 40-60 feet apart in the parking lot.

When Howard Industrial Sales made a demonstration of the 88-watt LEDtronics SLL003P-30X2W-XPW-005 LED luminaire, the chairman of the board, managers and other executives were all impressed by the light output and the resulting detail clarity in the security cameras, not to mention the energy savings of 202 watts per fixture. Faces of LEDtronics: Mark Jarel

By LEDtronics, Inc.

At Work

Mark Jarel, Street and Outdoor Lighting Sales Manager of LEDtronics, brings excitement and passion to his position. Most of his days are spent traveling and meeting with cities and businesses who are interested in an energy reduction & sustainability solution. He educates and provides valuable information that empowers them to make smart LED decisions.

Mark was raised in California and spent 30 years in the construction field before the lighting industry brought him to Texas. After some time in Texas, his love for California won him over and he began to search for an industry-leading LED company that would bring him home. LEDtronics’ reputation preceded itself, and Mark now prides himself in being a part of their team.

“My favorite thing about LEDtronics is their integrity and commitment to developing the very best in LED products,” said Mark. He finds great pleasure in educating people on the best LED solution for their needs. “This is a win for our clients and a big win for our planet.” In the future he looks forward to advancing in the company and putting LEDtronics outdoor products on the map as the only true lighting solution for the planet.

At Home

When not at work, Mark enjoys his “play time.” He has been surfing since he was nine and has found that he shares this love with many of his clients. On an occasional swell he will even go out with his clients and have their meeting on their boards.

Mark also loves racing anything with wheels. He holds a land speed record at El Mirage dry lake and an international motorcycle road racing title. But more than anything he is proud of the relationship he has with his 11-year-old son, Haven. Mark says his biggest milestone is raising an extraordinary young man. He enjoys “play time” most when it is with Haven.
